[ If Adam was looking for a smile, he just got one. He's trying not to pay too much attention to Adam's fingers against his skin, taking a long drink of his own beer. ] As long as you're sure. But if he shows up, he can have my chair.

Adam, I know how I think. [ It's not weird to talk about himself at all, nope. ] If he shows up, he'll want the chair.

[ Peter just shrugs, working on finishing off his beer. ] I'll take your word for it.

[ He knows he has the opportunity to, and almost every reason to pull away, but he doesn't. Instead he just watches, swallowing back the heavy taste of his beer. ] I think he gets the better end of the deal.

[ His eyes might've fluttered closed for a moment, and even though Peter's trying not to be overly effected by this, he's failing miserably, still unable to drag his attention away. ] He did miss the view, though.

Yeah, it is. [ It's a good of an excuse as any to drag his attention back to the ocean in front of them, smiling to himself. ]

[ Giving Adam's knee a squeeze, he snorts, keeping his eyes trained forward. ] Back home? No.

[ He realizes how that could be taken... poorly, and sighs. ] It's not ridiculous just .. unlikely. Considering the past few months. All i've done is work.

Paramedic. Apparently I take more shifts than I should.

Kind of frowned upon when all you do is work, though.

I don't think I know how to relax anymore.

Yeah, sure it is. [ He finishes off his beer, leaning sideway slightly so he can nestle the bottle in the sand. ]

[ Squeezing Adam's hand before he can tell himself not to, the last thing Peter wants to admit to is that he needs help remembering how to be anything but miserable. And he feels as if this is doing exactly that. ] And more than a few hours of sleep a night.
