one passing night
the evening is spread out against the sky

It's a castle unlike anything mankind has seen. True -- castles of all different shapes and sizes have littered throughout civilizations. Grand palaces covered in gold and kingdoms forbidden to even the common folk of their glorious empire.

But what makes this kingdom so special? If you look up, it's not the normal sky. Instead, the backdrop is the black blue color of space and hovering above is a view of the Earth.

Welcome to the Mare Serenitatis, The Sea of Serenity., dear dreamer. In the center, protected by a large and magical bio dome is a large castle. The roof tops are reminiscent of from India but it's not the only predominant ancient Earth kingdom influences -- although looking through the castle one can see that this castle backdates anything that Mankind has ever known. Where you are now is in the courtyard. There's the main pathway lined in polished white stone and fountain plinths adorn the water surrounding the mini fields of flowers inside of the courtyard.

Standing in one of the many areas of flowers is a lone woman. Most who know her would recognize her as Usagi Tsukino: the young girl with blue eyes and that peculiar hairstyle. But, this lovely lady embodies something the young girl has not honed yet. She is graceful, quiet and wise. She wears a gown pearl in color with an opaque pink ribbon that almost looks like wings that span from the waist of her dress. Her hair is still up in that familiar style, but atop of her head is a small golden crown and gracing her forehead is an upturned golden crescent moon.

Mistress of this castle; she is the only one in the courtyard and her eyes are staring quietly at the Earth, unaware of any one who may have stumbled upon this spot.

(OOC: Will be responding with [livejournal.com profile] timelessmoon As with the other fast-forwarded time skip entries, feel free to assume CR if the situation calls for it I'm not too picky. Also IT'S USAGI'S BIRTHDAY TODAY! \o\;;;)
[ You find yourself in a library. Not just any library but a massive one: wall to wall bookshelves, plush armchairs, mahogany floorboards and the entire thing lit with a warm flame that seems almost comforting. The kind that doesn't seem to give off a dangerous heat but perhaps the warmth that reminds one of home and hearth. The books on the shelves are quite anything you want them to be: catalogues, bestiaries, your diaries, anything you ever wished to read, wished to know or wished to find out.

Among these shelves and books in a man dressed in long deep blue robes, almost black as night. He paces, taking books off the shelves, and flipping through them, occasionally commenting on the side and seemingly talking to himself. But there are other books in his hands, these being used to fill empty spots in some shelves. He seems to be looking for something, or perhaps merely setting some books in order. For all you know, he could be doing both. At any rate, he is quite at home here, amongst the books, shelves and bare light. Again, the conversation resumes in a strange language perhaps alien to your ears. Upon one bookshelf is another figure that seems to be merely a shimmer in the air and he seems to be doing most the talking while the man in the robe nods and comments from time to time. However, in the middle of a sentence, he stops and turns. His voice seems low, barely heard and in a more familiar language. ]

Looks like we have company, Aids.
Ah?

[ And with that, the figure is gone and the other man is left amongst the books and firelight, holding a rather thick volume to his chest and clutching a staff with his other hand. ]
27th-Jun-2011 12:05 pm - (Two) Days in the Village
[ Dark, bleak, and damp - it's night in the small, desolate mountain village on which this dream centers, and by its sodden state of disarray, some kind of vicious storm must have just passed through. Everything about this place is nightmarishly exaggerated, drawn from the memory of a creature with only passing knowledge of human dwellings -- and no fondness at all for the proprietors of such strange establishments.

Eerily abandoned, no light shines in any window-- Except for one, whole and filled with the warm orange glow of one last burning lamp. And it's into the shallow reflection of this warm light that a lone, pale figure steps. A large, lanky silver wolf or a tall, thin man with only the attributes of the same animal, however he is perceived, his intent is the same. He's rarely been more determined in his life (or maybe that's more terrified, though he'd never admit to that), and it shows.

This is a dream he's had often, since then. And though he knows that it spells certain doom, he stops to look through the lit window, all the same.

No one's here.

Another empty room, filled with queerly-shaped furniture (another word he doesn't know). The light goes out immediately on the heels of this realization, and another one appears in a window on the other side of town. And when he slinks away from the safety of the first building's shadow, this is where he heads, to look again for something he's so stupidly managed to misplace. ]

[ooc: Anyone looking for an extremely surly rescuer is welcome to dream as another "animal" (or human) who's been captured and caged in the village. Otherwise, it's all good! Wacky timeline shenanigans with this month's theme included.]
17th-Jun-2011 12:07 am - i - marapozsa street

[The dream starts in a long, dark hallway. The walls are bare of any real color or design on them, but that's not what matters. What matters is what's at the end of the hallway. A single wooden table illuminated by some unseen source of light. It doesn't matter. You're drawn to the table either way despite there being nothing on the table. When you reach it what you find, instead, is a circular pattern on the table with three slits, emitting another light all together.

Maybe you get curious, you lean in close and you have to take a peek. Especially was the circle starts spinning and the sounds of cogs and gears start to whir within the table. As you look into the three slits you see a strange sight. People of impossible colors and skin tones, with strange oddities growing out of various places. But what they all seem to share are these strange little hats. These aren't simple hats. They're very decadent and elaborate. Some are tall, and some are short. Most have several levels. And on all strange figures can be seen moving about on the levels, doing various things each unique to each person.

The longer you stare, though, the more you start to feel drawn in. You don't even notice it really. One second you're watching from afar, the next you're walking down the strange street. You think maybe if you just keep walking you'll find an exit, but there is no exit. The street just stops, darkness at one end and darkness at the next. The people may be looking at you strangely now, because, well.... Where are your dreams?

Welcome to Marapozsa Street.]

[ The dream tonight is a rather empty one, compared to the brilliant things that people could find themselves in. A simple beach surrounded by mountains, clear blue skies and a deep blue lake, and a small picnic area set to the side. The moon can be seen, despite it being day, rippling in the water. By the waterfront is an old station wagon, and of course the Doctor. He stands with his hands in his pockets, staring out over the restless waters, with his back to the dreamer.

He seems older than normal. He doesn't look a day older, but his shoulders are sagged and his head held as if he were carrying burdens upon burdens of the universe - similar to Atlas. With a deep sigh, he tilts his head back and looks up at the sky. ]

(ooc: This is Future!Eleven for the time event! As explained in the ooc post, it means this is the Eleven we see from the beginning of Impossible Astronaut as opposed to the Eleven from The Doctor's Wife. Your character doesn't need to be affected by the event to tag him, but Eleven will be acting as if he has known your character for nearly two hundred years~ )
8th-Jun-2011 07:50 am - [007 ☿] Dream a little dream
[It's been a rainy dream, as Mizuno Ami (aged seven) walks home. Her backpack looks quite plump and full, probably due to the extra books she brings to have something to focus on during lunch.

Some things distract even her.

Ami hops across a few small puddles then, after a quick thought to decide it's alright, she hops across a much larger one. She sails through the air- and clears her target! All dry. She giggles in satisfaction.

The rain has stopped by now and there's a playground nearby, where the ground and equipment are somehow dry enough to use. Ami has a long time before Mama will be home, and she knows the people who live around here and play at this spot.

She can finish her homework after dinner (and she really will). Right now, she really wants to play. She climbs carefully into the seat of one of the swings, which turns out to be a touch too high for her and she pumps her legs but barely gets up momentum.

She might need a little help. She could also use a friend to play with.]

[This appears to be a giant room, ceilings as high as the walls are far apart.  It's well-lit, although there are no windows.  There's bits of machinery and half-built robots everywhere, either semi-neatly stacked on tall shelves or scattered on the floor.  The cement floor is spotted with oil.  There are green monkeys running everywhere.  You know, normal stuff.

In the center of the room there's a little work area in a cleared space.  There are a couple worktables haphazardly covered in tools, both recognizable and obviously homemade contraptions.  At one worktable a very red-haired young man is tinkering with what looks to be a mini-fridge with legs.  He's cheerfully explaining to himself what he's doing.  A small ball hovering next to him suddenly shouts something about it being lunchtime, making the man jump.]

I'm busy!  Be quiet!

[Suddenly he notices you and freezes for a moment.  Then he begins sputtering.]

But--what--how did you get in?  And why didn't my bots tell me someone was approaching the house?!
4th-Jun-2011 10:57 pm - ✿ 001 | one person's junk ...
[ If there's one thing that could be said about the planet Persephone it's that it isn't lacking activity. The rich showing off their finery to each other while sipping expensive drinks. The poor scrambling around the lower markets for what bits of anything they can afford. People seemingly always on the move. And it's at one of those marketplaces, located at Eavesdown Docks, that the crew of Serenity has joined the madness at.

It's the typical between jobs pit stop: refuel, restock, find a new job and get moving. And in Kaylee's case, head to the nearby junkyard and hope for some real shiny finds to keep Serenity going. She had a rare bit of extra cash to burn and it was going to good use.

And maybe along the way or in the junk yard itself she'd get to chat with some people. She had time. After all she did tell Captain she'd be going to the junk yard. Usually that meant he'd be coming by on the mule at dusk to finally pull her away. ]
